Website Review of amazon.com

When it comes to making websites, it is just as important for the site to be well organized and easy to navigate as it needs to be fast and look appealing. Amazon is one of the most successful companies in the world and is entirely operate via its website/apps. Amazon revolutionized online shopping by making it fast and easy to shop online with little to no risk.

While digging into their website, I noticed how quickly each link responded to my clicks, no matter how dynamic the page loading. For that matter I also noticed that there is a wonderful balance of information, visuals, and open space. The open space was rarely plain white, but offered solid colors and white space to make the site feel calm, not overly busy, yet not empty or lacking. This sense of balance is key to making a well functioning and pleasant to the eye shopping experience, which no doubt encourages customers to make purchases.

One critisism that I have of Amazon's website is that some of the account settings can be a little hard to find. There are so many setting options to sift through that it can seem overwhelming. This is a very light critisism because though I do feel that the options could be better organized, I understand and appreciate the many settings/options offered to specialize ones personal account and shopping experience. Overall, I give Amazon.com's website a 5 out of 5.
