This week's review is on the website a-z-animals.com. I first looked through National Geographic for Kids and noticed that the site, though very exciting, especially for younger visitors, lacked the ability to enlarge pictures. The visual style of a-z-animals.com seems to promote research and reading over simply looking at pictures of animals, which signigies a more mature target audience.
While delving deeper into the website, I found it odd that I could not enlarge the headline image within the individual animal's page. Along with not being able to get a closer look at the pictures, the pictures were filled with text and seemed to be darkened. The website offered a great deal of well organized information proceding the picture and after scrolling further I found more pictures listed of the selected animal that could be enlarged and seen clearly at a much higher quality.
Overall I give a-z-animals.com a 4.5 at of 5 stars. The website is incredibly clean and efficient, yet well decorated to fit the context of the site. The information was well organized and easy to digest and the pictures were high quality and enlarged smoothly.
